Sunflower:
I used "Stained Linen" Overlay 100%, but masked off of the face and arms. In order to not cause tone problems, I converted it all to black and white.
Huckleberry:
This one has one layer of Kim Klassen's "Not too Shabby" Soft Light 100% completely desaturated so I could mask off the face again without worrying about color matching. It also has two layers of "February Magic Edges" inverted (so the white is where the black was and vice versa). One layer is Soft Light 38% with face masked off and one layer is Multiply 38%.
I plan to experiment some more with Kim's tutorial on two methods of how to copy the colors and tone onto the skin while removing the texture. I tried with one photo today, but the photo overall just didn't work out.
SnapDragon:
Didn't seem fair to leave one child out, so he is today's sweet shot.
This photo is the result of having the wrong settings on my camera--too dark--but the result is "a really cool bubble!" in my son's opinion.
I love this reminder that some day everything will be made clear and while my current perceptions are distorted by only seeing a poor reflection, God already knows me fully. I find this very comforting.
Be sure to hop over to Kim Klassen's Cafe for other Texture Tuesdays, My 3 Boybarians for some more Sweet Shots, and Katie Lloyd Photography for Scripture and a Snapshot.

Beautiful images. Stained Linen just happens to be my favorite from KK.
LOVE all three of those kiddos' photos! I don't have the patience to work with skin tones, etc. Delightful bubble, too!
Beautiful photographs - you must be so proud of your children. Love the b&w one as the texture really softens the background.
I think you did a FANTASTIC job will all of them!!
You did a wonderful job with your textures. They added a nice touch to the images without being to overpowering. Great bubble too! Sometimes the wrong settings on our camera can deliver a nice surprise.

Hi, Cedar! Thanks for stopping by my photography blog. I just love comments. :)
Your son is right--that is a really COOL bubble shot! I want to spend a while looking to see if I can discern anything in the reflection--which is why your verse fits perfectly.
Hope you have a great week!!

The shots of your kids are wonderful!!! And your S&S shot is pretty cool too. I agree that this verse is an excellent reminder that He knows everything and we don't need to!
