Scavenger Hunt Sunday

Once again I thought "Oh, No!  These are too hard.  I don't have a single idea."  Only this time it was even worse than usual.  By Thursday I had two vague ideas but no pictures. at. all.   Then Thursday with Huckleberry at camp and  SnapDragon on his eagerly anticipated play date, Sunflower and I had three hours to kill.  So we went to the library, to lunch, and to the mall.  I lugged my camera the whole time thinking "will I really take pictures at the mall?  And how can it help me in my hunt?"  Then we got to the food court where there was a giant fireplace with a fire burning (yes, in July).  In the last 45 minutes we had at the mall, I took a hundred pictures and "found" all five hunt items.  Usually I take over 100 pictures per prompt trying to get just the right photo (which I choose to view as evidence of my dedication as opposed to lack of skill) so it was strange to only have a few photos to choose from for each prompt.   There is a reoccurring theme, too.  It was the only way to make sure I could see her while taking pictures.

So I present a Study in Sunflower...

Black and White

Reflections in Glass
I am also linking this photo and a later one to Exploring with Your Camera at The Kat Eye View of the World.  I cannot wait to start her class!  I won a spot...THANK YOU, Kat and Ashley...but registration is still open.

Headlights...well, Headlight

Seeing Double
These are both reflections in the fireplace so really this represents seeing Sunflower Thrice.  3 Sunflowers...that would keep us busy!

Bare
Yes, she flipped over and stuck her bare legs in the air--NOT by my prompting--but I did take advantage of her immodesty while I rushed forward to cover her up.

And as a bonus because I have this swanky new collage from Project Alicia and have nothing better to do with the other 95 photos I took at the mall:
I did keep a full sized version with Sunflower's real name
Also, it was good practice with clipping masks which I was supposed to learn this week.  Turns out I already knew how to do them; I just didn't know what they were called.  The things you can learn on the web!

So hop on over to Ramblings and Photos to learn how every one else interpreted this week's hunt items!
