Scavenger Hunt Sunday

Time for this week's scavenger hunt finds!  I did try pretty hard on this because some little part of me believes random number generator will be more likely to choose my entry to win Kat's class if my interpretations are the best.  Luckily that isn't true because my best still falls short of so many talented photographers especially with some truly challenging (for me) prompts this week.  That said, I still really hope I win a spot in Kat's class because how am I going to get better without training?  Practice, practice, practice only works if you know what to practice.  I have learned a lot from Kat's site already, but I still have a lot to learn.  I am saying this because I know the level of need sways the random number generator, also.

Pop of Color:
I really love the pop of color in the center of my otherwise white Orchids...which are still blooming from May!

Crossing Thresholds:
It doesn't really show the threshold, so I'm not sure it counts, but Sunflower is waiting for the Doctor to cross the threshold from the safety of her Daddy's arms.  Only one shot this visit.  Two for Huckleberry.  SnapDragon thought it was very unfair that 7 year olds don't have a well-baby visit.

X-Ray:
I couldn't even wrap my mind around this prompt, but after reading this tutorial (Thanks, Ashley) it didn't seem so hard.  But by then my 7 year old had already drawn an x-ray for me--we figured that was a better option than someone breaking an arm this week.

Toy:
Children can make a toy out of anything--including this feather and leaf to make a boat at the lake.

Farm:
Tractor Bokeh at the local Dairy/Egg Farm sponsored Antique Tractor Pull.  I wish I hadn't cut off the R and M in the tractor brand in this shot, but I'll have to wait another year to get another try.  Free Omelets...that is why we went.

Make sure to check out the other Scavenger Hunt Entries at Ramblings and Photos.

I'm sure your son played for ages with that feather. I used to love mine being creative like that too.

My favourite has to be that aweseome tractor shot. I love the bokeh and the colour saturation and ........... having reared 3 boys I have a great apreciation for tractors :)

I'm glad other people were as clueless about X-Ray as I was. I love that your son helped you too! :)

You have some beautiful photos. Therefore my need for Kat's class outweighs yours and certainly the number generator will sense that. I'm hoping to take her class no matter what-but for free would be cool.
The image at the pond with the "boat"...love that. The POV on the tractors is really great and your orchinds are lovely. Totally lost on Xray as well, but the bones drawing is sweet.
Good luck in the drawing-really if it's not me, I hope it's you....but you look pretty well versed already from here.
