We went to the zoo just because of this theme...okay, we already had a trip planned, but I thought "Yeah! I'll be able to capture some critters because I do not do critters at home." But the critters at the zoo, well, they were behind big panels of glass...
I used the Polaroid App Ashley mentioned yesterday because the picture couldn't get any worse. I think it works perfectly as a Polaroid.
I did capture some pretty slow moving bees and I saved my favorite capture to share today...
but I'm just not sure they fall into the critter category. I really don't remember much about my high school biology except that my teacher was cute (and happily married).
I am positive that birds and kids aren't usually called critters--ankle biters, whirlwinds of destruction, and giggle monsters, but not critters. But you get some pictures of them anyway.
One bird critter was fine, even intriguing.
Two not so much.
Lots of pretty Budgies around. We'll have to go back again to try to capture the critters which is fine since we do have a zoo pass (we can even get visitors in for free, so if you want to go to the zoo...we love getting our money's worth).
Or maybe we don't have to go back too quickly if Sea Horses count?
Seriously, I took almost 1000 pictures, but they were mostly of Bees, Flowers, and Children. The tigers and tapirs were hiding and we got too tired to go down the polar bear loop--no worries about not seeing everything since we used our pass!

that bee picture turned out fabulous! What a hairy little critter it is!
LOL you are not kidding about you not doing critters. This weeks' prompt probably isn't quite your fav :)
I believe, places like this it is no wonder that you get too many pictures:) I love them, so many beautiful critters, animals, birds etc.
Birds and bees may not be what one typically thinks of as critters but they are. Even if they weren't I am glad you posted them. They are beautiful shots. I often refer to my kids as zoo critters. Absolutely love the first shot of the little one and the bird. Thanks for stopping by and commenting on my blog.
How cute is a seahorse!? LOVE the birdie shots.
Awww, love the birdies. So pretty. :)
Your bee shot is just fabulous!
Whirlwinds of description- lol. Love it. The bird shots are great. Especially love that one by itself. Great captures from your visit to the zoo. Thanks for joining Kristi and I for the Crazy Days of Summer!
You're pretty funny today - love the photos. That bee is fabulous. And anything behind glass is hard to photograph.
I adore those bird shots. Beautiful. :)
