I feel like I'm pretty new to photography, so learning different photography terms that can go into the composition of a photo is really fascinating to me. Certainly I've always known that color contrast or black and white contrast make for more interesting photos. Now I have a whole world of opposites to explore. Interested in learning more? Check out
The Kat Eye View of the World for a lot more explanation and many examples.
I took this photo a few weeks ago and instantly loved it, but it doesn't actually make a nice postcard and I couldn't figure out a use for it. I think, think it fits this prompt. (I could save it for Scavenger Hunt Sunday, but I plan to try and capture another photo before then). What do you think?
Several contrasts, right? Light/Dark; Blooms/Bare; Alive/Dead; Focus/Blurry.

I like it! Lots of good contrasts. :)
You captured a great list of contrasts! Isn't it amazing how many you find when you start looking? And they all help make the image work! Thanks so much for linking in. I hope you come back and link in the shot you find for the Scavenger Hunt too!
I'm still learning too and you picked the perfect contrast. I think I have a bad habit about not thinking about it enough when I take a shot...but now that you reminded me, I'll have to start paying attention!
gorgeous contrasts in that shot!
