My Passion:
So dull, so trite, but still so true. My current passion is taking pictures of my kids--not my kids--but taking pictures of them. It is NOT their passion and very difficult to get them in a cooperative mode at the same time.
These pictures were originally taken for my attempt at "Sound of Music" but I decided to go a different route...
Sound of Music:
...once I remembered I actually have the sheet music for the Stage Musical of "The Sound of Music." We saw it in New York in a theater on a street very near to Broadway a long, long time ago (before kids).
Inner Beauty:
That a person has inner beauty in addition to outer beauty is a pretty well-known idea so I could say that is why I chose this picture. However, really it is because it has lots of rimmed with light (most of it cropped out) which made it very ethereal to me, but nothing says ethereal less than an 11 year old boy, but I wanted to use this photo in this hunt. And my son, he does have a lot of inner beauty and strength and integrity and intelligence and...you get the picture (pun completely intended).
So I had to choose something else for...
Ethereal:
The Orchids were a gift from many of my friends as I passed on leadership of my MOPS group to another lady and friend. So far I have been able to use them in two photo challenges. They may never bloom again for me, but I am going to get those most out of these blooms.
That's all folks! Be sure to check out more Sunday Scavenger Hunts over at Ramblings and Photos and Happy Hunting!

Love the shots of your kids! Nice processing.
I really LOVE your Sound of Music! Perfect! A wonderfully composed shot.
Your orchids made an awesome ethereal shot - great lighting!

Those are beautiful catch lights in his eyes in your Inner Beauty shot!
Once all the orchid blooms have dropped off, snip the stalk about 1 centimeter from the base. Those kinds of orchids (phalaenopsis) are pretty easy to care for and will bloom again and again as long as you care for it properly. Good luck! :)
those eyes speak a lot! love it!
My favorites are the "sound of music" and that orchid shot. But love the processing of the kids' shots! Beautiful photos!
Can I have that child please? He is simply beautiful and outshines all your other fabulous pictures :)
The close up of your son is delightful!! Very nice!! I also love the orchid and your processing. Very dreamy! Nice work!
I love all the photos you got of your kids. I can totally relate to trying to get them to cooperate. It is like mission impossible in my house. Love Ethereal.... beautiful!
What a great set - you really rocked it out this week but I love your composition for sharp. That looks really cool!
Very clever with the sharp photo!! Love that ethereal photo!!
Great set this week!!
Enjoy your Sunday!!
Your ethereal photo is GORGEOUS!!!!
WOW! These are fantastic. I love your inner beauty and ethereal shots. Great job.
i think you did well with the interpretations! Your son has amazing eyes and his expression in the inner beauty shot is wonderful. The portraits of passion work beautifully. My kids never really want to be in pictures when I want to take them, so I get your statement - - but what you've captured in the diptych shows relationships that speak volumes.
Oh the eyes in the inner beauty... stunning
Lovely photos! I really like the ones of the boys!
beautiful photos! Love the light captured in your son's eyes
Wow, the photo for 'Ethereal' is absolutely gorgeous! The lighting is so nice and I love that bit of lensflare!
Love the little snippets that accompanied each photo, especially My Passion. For me, fortunately, Narelle loves to be my model, but the two older siblings, totally different story.
Great shots! Love your interpretation of "Sharp", very clever!

Creative interpretations. I like the reflection on the sharp shot, and what a beautiful orchid.
Such a clever "sharp" there! Great choices for this week.
