Summer Treats

It is time to link up with Project Alicia and Live and Love Outloud. for the Crazy Days of Summer.  This week's theme is summer treats, but since I had to miss last week~the mountains had no internet~I do want to share one token bubble shot.
I am still trying to capture that elusive perfect bubble shot, but Sunflower did have fun helping.  We'll be sure to keep trying and next summer prepare to be amazed as I was by the other entries this year.   Now on to summer treats.

Sandy Days at the Beach:
So this is actually dirt at the duck pond, but IF we had made it to the beach it would definitely be a summer treat.  Maybe this month...or maybe not.

Lazily lying in the grass:
Ummm, he was only still for a few seconds, but still it IS a summer treat to relax in a field.  Too bad my kids don't see it that way.

Wet and Happy Kids:
I asked him to look to the side so I could try to get better catch lights.  I meant turn your head!  It made us laugh before he ran back to the sprinkler.  Finally, the weather is hot enough for water!

Cupcakes in the Park with Friends:
We took cupcakes to the park to share with friends to celebrate Sunflower's 3rd birthday.  Easiest party ever and she was so happy to have everyone sing for her so she could blow out the candles.  The boys decorated the cupcakes to be cats~they looked more like cats before the candles and Sunflower's candy consumption.

Which leads us to my last summer treat for the day...the ones the boys suggested...Sunflower:
She's a treat and she came in the summer; our favorite summer treat!

Aw, so sorry you missed our last challenge. That's a great bubble shot. Those are some fancy lookin cupcakes there too. And I gotta tell ya, that one that you told your son to turn his head and he gave you that funny face? I LOVE it. It's perfection.

You do such a great job of capturing the essence of childhood and your children's personalities! That last pic is my favorite. You made me tear up when you said that your daughter is your favorite "summer treat". So sweet!
Thanks for joining Alicia and I again for the Crazy Days of Summer Photo Challenge. I'm so glad that you shared your bubble shot. :) Can't wait to see what you come up with next week when we move on to "fun with friends". Have a great weekend!

Perfect treat shots! Love that Sunflower made the list too. She’s so cute, even with duck pond dirt.

BTW, my “Macro Conversion Lens” is actually an added bonus of a 0.45X high definition Super Wide Angle Lens. So I got both lens for under $20. The one I got was through Amazon, and is around $15 at the moment, and works great for the cost!

Not only did you bring them to this beautiful world, you are celebrating their lives with the most amazing photography. They will always be able to look back and know of their happy upbringing.
Your work is so lovely Cedar!
