Black and White Wednesday

I am busy working on my friend's pictures and my life.  But since today is Black and White Wednesday, and my blog hits have doubled as my friend checks for more glimpses of her kids, I thought I would post a few more photos.
I do have few of him smiling, but I haven't finished editing them yet.
This one is one of my favorites of the baby~I didn't cut of her fingers, or ears, or elbow.
That same sweet smile.
I have even more growth and learning to do for group/combo shots; my kids aren't going to like that.

I have less dramatic edits of this photo, but something about this really appeals to me.  I don't know about mom, but I love it.
I am still learning and want to learn more.  I'd appreciate any ideas you'd have on how I can improve, what I can try in editing, and advice on posing and composition for future photos.  Of course, I love the compliments, too.

What fun! I love your black and white treatments of these. Your hits might go up a bit more, as I nominated you for a Liebster Blog award. :-) The details can be found on my site. Happy Wednesday!

The are all so sweet. I just love the eyes in that last one!

Love the third one. Your focus is right on, the light is beautiful and her eyes just sparkle, and I like the simple darker background. In addition, her smile feels comfortable and genuine.

Would love to see a less dramatic edit of the last one. His eyes are amazing!

I like the third one best. It would be good for me to practice some on my children, I don't take many people shots generally.

I love the first shot, even unsmiling (maybe because he isn't smiling!) it is an excellent portrait.
In the shot of the two girls, the reflectivity of their skins is different, so the exposure on big sis is perfect, but baby is over exposed. If you stop down a little, and bracket your shots, you will probably be able to get perfection on both.
Thanks for visiting my blog!

I really like the last one. I know it is over exposed in edit and very dramatic like you said but there is something magical about it.
