Blue Skies

I'm am busy trying to learn Lightroom, watching videos, and still trying to get things done in my real life, so I didn't have a chance to work on my blue skies photos until the last few hours.  As I sorted through my Mt. Rainier pictures from last weekend (not our camping trip, but another trip to the mountains) in Lightroom deleting down from 1500 to 900, I added some blue sky photos to a Quick Collection as I went along.  One way already that Lightroom has speeded up my work flow.  All except the panorama I only edited slightly in Lightroom because when you take 1500 pictures and several of the same thing with different exposure you are bound to get some great shots especially when you start with a gorgeous location.  My point is not the quality of photography (or possible lack of quality), it is that when I finished putting all the best photos in one place I was once again blown away by the beauty that is God's creation.  We had a spectacular day Saturday as a family enjoying it; I hope my post can give you at least a bit of the awe I feel.  The best way is to shut my mouth and let you see the pictures.  So here are twelve more pictures from our day at Mt. Rainier in chronological order.

It was even more beautiful in person and the sky throughout the day did vary that much between locations and directions.  I'm not much of a landscape person, but this day almost changed my mind.  (Almost all, if not all, of these shots were taken with my kit 18-55mm 3.5-4.6 lens~the widest angle lens I own.)

Check out some more blue sky photos over at Live and Love...out Loud or Project Alicia for their Crazy Days of Summer.

These are gorgeous! They make me feel like I could just walk right in to the photo. They are so sharp and crisp with such vibrant colors. I got to go to Mt. Rainier many years ago and I hope I get to go back one day with Gary and my boys.
