Top 5 Quarterly

I didn't realize the quarter was already up!  Next quarter I'll have 4 children to fit into 5 best shots!  Now that is something to look forward, too!

Anyway, here are my top 5 picks.  I know they've been shown before...but that is because they are my favorites.

Huckleberry:
It is hard to get good pictures of my 12 year old since he is so busy at school, but snow kept him home for the day.  He often has this little half smile on his face.  I cannot believe he is 12!

Sunflower:
Love her quizzical look and the tilt of her head.  What's not to love?

All Three:
I did not take very many pictures of them together...need to do more of that.  But I love how they are all laughing and having fun in this shot.

 SnapDragon:
I love that he is playing and smiling and happy...I also love the sunlight in her hair and the beautiful winter day.

Sunflower:
This one won the technically judging for emotive expressions in my photo club. That means they print an 12 x 18 and display it for a month at the church where we meet. Then it is displayed in the City Hall for a month. It was also put in the town paper with the caption:

Defiance: This is proof that strong women are born and not made.

I am not sure where we will feel safe to hang this when it is done making the rounds and given to me.  It is certainly not the look I want to wake up to each morning!

They just keep getting cuter!!! Seriously.

The light, post processing, and catchlights of the last shot are simply amazing.

You know I love your photos of the kids...but that last one of Sunflower...honestly, I can understand why that won! They are all wonderful...but something about the look on that child's face says "don't even think about it!"...I love it!

Congrats on the last shot! Love the caption too! :-D

Maybe the hubs should hang it behind his desk at work?
