Night Shots! What a great prompt, since it definitely took me out of my comfort zone and showed me how much I didn't know, even reading the tutorials. And yes, you really should lug your tripod around even if it is the fair and you already feel a bit conspicuous with your bulky camera. Next time I'm out after dark I'll definitely have to take my tripod. Do you think it would be okay to push a stroller of photo accessories on the
World Wide Photo Walk? The walk near me ends 10 minutes after sunset.
So I keep reminding myself that the reason I deleted most of my fair photos is because I was experimenting and learning. You learn the most from your mistakes, right? I do have a few to share for shoot and edit, though I'd much rather just show them to you edited.

This fountain was surrounded by a metal fence, making it difficult to photograph, but it sure looked all pretty lit up at night.

Bubbles at night with the flash make for interesting colors and reflections but difficult focus.

Then because I could not back up enough to take in the Ferris Wheel and the whole sign.

We had a great time at the fair, but who could be unhappy with an elephant ear? Next year I won't leave my tripod in the car. In the meantime, I plan on visiting the other night shots for this week's shoot and edit. It is always a treat to see what other's have done.

I really like the farris wheel photo. I can't wait until our fair so I can get some great shots! Our is so much later since it is so hot here!
Great shots! I love the bubbles!
I love the bubble picture. And the Ferris wheel totally makes me want to go to a fair. That is one of the things I miss about living in CA...I just loved the fairs there. We haven't found any good ones in CO.
I also like that the aperture, shutter speed and ISO are on your pic's, because I am finally learning a little of what that all means....
One of these days I'm going to e-mail you a few questions. :) But right now I am going to do that 31 days to a better photo, that you blogged about a long time ago. :)
Mer ;)
These are fun even as before shots - nice.
