So Sunflower and I have been going out in the morning to catch that sun.
I do need to comb her hair better...and she needs a hair cut...but it does make for a good cloud of light!
Those were all Wednesday morning. Wednesday afternoon my new reflector came in the mail. So we went outside to play with the backlighting and this time be able to light her face properly. I found SnapDragon a slightly more cooperative subject.
He would at least stand still...though he kept waving that stick around. But following Sunflower around while carrying my camera and a large round thing (which she thinks is a trampoline) was tricky enough without wanting the sun to be behind her with her looking at me. Still, I think it is my favorite shot for the day.
Even if she looks like she is the one being tortured.
I am linking this photo with both Shoot, Edit, and Submit and Favorite Photo Friday. But right now it is sunny again...so I'm going outside with my Sunflower. I look forward to checking out other entries when the sun goes down.

Oh these are just FABULOUS! Love the hazy shots the best. But that last one...kudos!

Your photos are always spectacular, and these are no different. Plus, you have adorable subjects - thanks for sharing them!
Fun! That last shot is a sweet one. Congrats on the new reflector.
I love these Cedar- looks like we both had the same idea of back light today.
Love the sun in her honey-colored hair. What gorgeous brown eyes!
oh. These are so dreamy! I LOOOOVE the 2nd shot. The editing is perfect!
Lovely backlighting. Care to help me with this? I've tried, but I can't get the lighting on the face right. Do you use fill in flash or a reflector? Any tips? I'm all ears. You've obviously mastered this, and I'd love to learn from a pro. :)
Just proof you really need to move here, because we have sun for most of the winter, it's just a little colder than where you are. :o) (Although it was in the upper sixties last week, even.)
My favorite picture of Sunflower is the third one. ;) I love it.
Omg, I LOVE these!!! The sunlit faces, halo of light...stunning!
